Our client is widely recognised as a highly successful provider of taxation, accounting, superannuation, business advice and financial services.

The practice directors have driven fee growth of over $500,000 p.a. for several years through referrals and strategic positioning. The career opportunities flowing from such considerable expansion are obvious to those who are familiar with the tax and accounting profession.

The core corporate objective of the role of Taxation Manager is the delivery of quality assured client services in an efficient, timely and profitable manner.

The Taxation Managers within the practice assume responsibility for a defined portfolio of clients. Their responsibility extends to maintaining and nurturing client relationships, ensuring technical excellence in the delivery of services and managing and mentoring the professional tax and accounting staff.

The client base is comprised predominately of successful small businesses and investors. The practice’s clients place a high degree of reliance on taxation and accounting services. Further, they engage the practice for financial and capital optimization advice and performance reporting.

It is anticipated that the Taxation Manager for this role will have;

• A minimum of nine years of experience in an Australian accounting practice and at least two years as a Supervisor or Manager
• A high level of enthusiasm commensurate with the forward thinking of an expanding practice
• A natural flair for client relationship maintenance and development
• A background of managing and motivating a professional team
• A technical strength in taxation and accounting leading to effective review of the team’s work
• Competence in MYOB , APS or Handisoft accounting and taxation
• Advanced skills in Excel and experience in budget preparation, variance analysis and performance reporting
• CPA or CA qualifications
